The room was acceptable, the position was great with easy access to Buses and Trams (a short walk across the Piazza) in Lygon street, additionally 24 hour convenience with 711 across the road. The Carlton Lygon lodge team were always approachable and attentive.

Customer service is in a league of its own, the staff are all happy, professional and welcoming, from the reception staff to the staff working in the bistro. Great location and easy to get around. The rooms are starting to show their age though, especially the bathrooms, however great hotel and will definitely come back.

Room was somewhat clean although there were some areas that weren't. There was one particular staff member that was hard to deal with. We requested freash towels and he did say he would bring up to our room. But after a long wait I had to collect from reception. When I did approach the desk he was unfriendly unit he worked out I was guest making it feel fake.
